Live Concert-Video-Performance that is transferred to each place that hosts the event. This way the precedent shows and experiences are being layered and adapted, accumulating material and filtering the essential common spirit at the different cities and venues: there is trash everywhere and there is sadness anywhere. But everywhere we find someone to share a drink, to come together, enjoying the music and dance. Little selfie-video-performances accompany the live-experience with OCTOPUSSY who transforms plastic bags and other findings into costumes and who uses fruit and vodka for subtle interactions with the audience.

OCTOPUSSY on TOUR 2017
As a nomadic lone traveler, with a human capability to learn from Another, OCTOPUSSY is a creature that deals with global circumstances: the ocean is a liquid dumb, water is rare and trash is a problem well hid for the rich and an ultimate threat of hygiene for the poor. Wherever she is hosted, she goes into the city to look for a local stream of water, a harbor or a river. She observes what swims on the surface or drifts by. Some public baths or fountains have transformed into arenas of devastation. There is no more water but the leftovers from life and death of past events. The world has became a place of drought and heat, of vast land, full of desire and loss. There is fatigue and exhaustion. OCTOPUSSY can trace the fear of drowning before waking up. However, she travels in order to foster hope not despair. In order to get in touch with a local community she does not present a way out of the dumb, but a way in: What do we do with all the trash? How do we think together, in order to solidarize with each other? Do we feel sad about it together? Can we share this sadness and make it productive to move and inspire each other, to wake each other up? OCTOPUSSY intervenes in local hangouts. On Tour, she looks for those spots where people drink together, where they listen to music, talk and spend time together. She gathers and transmits a taste of her experiences in other places through an involving, melancholic video performance. She senses the destructive part of her gatherings: while moving from touch to taste to touch, she is being transformed but it is hard to reflect back: her taste is an assembly of different tastes but the essence is the same. Our interest in each other makes us stronger and more effective. We must collaborate in order to survive. She is in a constant quest for solidary interaction, sharing thought and sharing SHAPE(loss). This concert/video performance is a sensual becoming – both destructive and reconstructive, com-posing and a-musing. OCTOPUSSY transforms the shared situation to a visual, fluid, immersive hangout, in which each participant in space can become a trigger and co-player in these un-graspable, beautiful transformations accomplished by common time and drinks.
There is a very specific interaction with the audience – like sharing a drink, washing hands etc. I create an atmosphere with different materials that I gather throughout the tour. It is a lot about touch and sound-making, trying to create a fluid, emotional space. I tell little annecdotes and ideas that come to my mind spontaneously. It does not illustrate what I am performing; instead, my voice and the words are part of my performance mode – almost transcripting the local mood.
